What are your problems and how can I help you solve them?
Asking this question has helped me sell scuba gear, recruit international students to Japan, run an English school and create and market websites that draw in over 10,000 visitors per month. It’s what started this company focused on helping businesses here in Hawaii with web design and marketing.
While working as director of sales and marketing for a small company here on the Big Island, I had the chance to work with a lot of businesses and speak to a lot of business owners in Hawaii.
Two topics of frustration kept coming up
- Difficulty creating and maintaining a website
- Struggling to reach/get the attention of their audience
Either they had no website at all because they didn’t know where to start or they were overwhelmed by the marketing and upkeep, and underwhelmed by the results.
I was raised by a single father who ran a small business and I have run more than one myself. I understand the difficulty of operating a business and trying to find time to maintain a website, promote your company and keep up with all of the social media.
This company was designed to help small businesses with their websites and their marketing. Creating the website, teaching you how to maintain them, how to promote them, and how to make your website and marketing work for you and not the other way around.
The internet and the vast amounts of information available have changed the way we interact with customers. Effective marketing and web design have also changed. I will show you how to leverage your resources to get your customers to come to you.
After obtaining my BS in business, I moved to Tokyo to pursue a dream of living in Japan. I first got into marketing and web design in 2006 while working as an international admissions counselor for Temple University, Japan Campus in Tokyo.
In addition to counseling students and working with schools from around the world, I worked with the web team and implemented new ways to reach students through social media. That year the school had one of the best years they had ever had and I was one of the top recruiters.
Tokyo is an amazing place to visit and a crazy place to live. Having spent three years there, I decided to move to a tropical island in Okinawa and began building and promoting informational websites. I had started blogging and studying internet marketing while I was in Tokyo and was reading books on business, marketing, self-improvement. I decided it was time to give it a try.
I created several websites on various topics that received thousands of visitors per month and also helped other businesses with their websites and internet marketing. Teaching English as a volunteer ended up with me starting an English school and also translating for the Japanese Coast Guard.
After spending eight amazing years in Japan, my wife and I decided to move to Hawaii to start a Family. I am currently pursuing an MBA and we are expecting our first baby girl in October.
